After setting up Windows 11, I noticed that files from my relative's laptop appeared on my desktop, including photos and documents. It seems my relative used my email to create their Windows account, connecting our accounts inadvertently. I want to understand how to remove those files from my desktop while keeping them safe on their laptop. Additionally, how can I ensure my system isn't still linked to their Windows account?

It sounds like your relative's Windows account might be using your email to back up files to OneDrive. You should first check your OneDrive settings and stop syncing those folders if you don’t want to see their files. If you're okay with it, you could also simply uninstall OneDrive altogether.
You can't have two Microsoft accounts linked to the same email, so you might be sharing an account. To avoid seeing those files, you can disable OneDrive syncing to stop files from appearing on your desktop. But be careful with deleting anything; you don't want to lose their files if they're only stored online. It might also be a good idea for your relative to make their own account.

Exactly! If they’re using your email, it would be best to discuss it with them and ask them to create their own account for better separation.
