I'm really fed up with Windows and I've been wanting to make the switch to Linux for a while. However, I'm struggling with the data transfer part. I've got about a terabyte of data (not including games) that I need to move over. What methods have others found effective for transferring data from Windows to Linux? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

One of the simplest ways is to get an external hard drive. You can transfer your data onto the drive and then plug it into your Linux system. It's pretty seamless! Just drag and drop your files back and forth as you need.

Is it really that easy? Can I just transfer files to the external and then to Linux without issues?
