I recently had to let go of an employee and reassigned their phone number to a new team member. The issue is that when the new employee, Rachel, calls someone that the previous employee, Erica, had contacted, the caller ID still shows 'Maybe: Erica' even though the contact was never saved by the recipients. I need to ensure that when Rachel calls, her name shows instead of the previous employee's to avoid confusion. Thanks for your help!

Make sure you've changed the display name in both the phone settings and have requested an update from your carrier. If it’s not updated on their end, the old name might still appear for others.
It sounds like the people you're calling still have outdated info linked to that number. They'd need to save Rachel's name as a contact or the system is pulling from previous interactions. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do from your end to change it for them directly.
But is there a way to reset or refresh the caller ID on the carrier side?
Also, it's worth noting that sometimes it takes a little while for changes to show up on the caller ID across the board. Just make sure all settings are correct and give it some time; it might resolve itself eventually!
True! Patience might be key here, but it’s good to keep checking.
I did check the settings, and everything should be correct. But guess I’ll follow up with the carrier just to be safe.
