I'm a freelance web developer looking to collect testimonials from my clients to showcase on my portfolio. Since I offer remote services and sometimes relocate, I can't use platforms like Google Business for reviews. I've found tools like G2 and TrustPilot, but they tend to cater more to larger businesses. I'm curious about what platforms or methods other freelancers use to gather authentic testimonials that future clients can trust. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I keep it simple by asking clients to write a review and email it to me. I also ask them for permission to use their full names, since just initials like "Tim P." don't look very credible. Clients appreciate the personal touch, and it's been working well for me!
I get what you mean about credibility. Even if someone isn't well-known, a personal review with their full name helps. I also like to have them on a platform that feels trustworthy, so they don't come off as fake.
That's a solid method! I’ve been doing this for years too. If possible, I link the reviews to the clients’ portfolio sites or profiles, which adds even more credibility.
