How Effective Are Services Like OneRep for Managing Personal Data Over Time?

I've been noticing OneRep pop up frequently as a tool for handling data broker sites, so I decided to dive deeper into how these services actually function. I understand the basic premise: instead of sifting through numerous opt-out forms on my own, I can let a service manage the removals and keep an eye on my data for ongoing monitoring. However, I'm still hesitant. While I see the convenience in automation, I'm also wary of trusting another company with my personal information under the guise of privacy. For those who have used OneRep or similar services, did you find it genuinely helpful over time, or was it just a big time-saver compared to doing it all yourself?

I've been using OneRep for a few months now. It hasn't made me completely invisible, but it seriously cut down on the number of sites that had my info. To me, that was definitely worth it!

I started with doing the removals myself but gave up halfway through because some of those sites are designed to be a total pain. Once I switched to paying for someone else to handle it, it felt much more reasonable!

I totally understand that hesitation. I don't mind doing things myself and usually prefer it, but I really don’t want a never-ending task either.
