Hey everyone, I'm curious about the chances of a prebuilt PC getting damaged when it's shipped. I don't expect it to travel far, but I keep seeing a lot of online mentions of PCs arriving in less-than-perfect condition. Is this something that happens often?

It's not very common. I'd guess around 1 in 50 might arrive damaged, but that’s just a ballpark figure. Most shipments go smoothly!
Thanks for all the input, everyone!
I had a rough experience with a monitor shipment from Newegg—arrived in pieces! But don’t let that scare you; it’s not typical. Just be prepared to handle stuff if the worst happens!
Yeah, there's always a risk with shipping. Generally, though, if something does happen, make sure to reach out to the seller for support. They'll usually help sort it out.
I think it depends on the seller's packing quality. Most prebuilt PCs come well-packaged to guard against drops and even some minor water exposure. It's usually safe if you've got a reputable company!
Exactly! Quality packaging makes a big difference.
I think it's actually a lot less than that. Keep your fingers crossed!
