I'm curious about how many wall outlets I actually need to safely plug in my PC and monitor. Is it okay to use a power strip for this setup? I just want to make sure I'm not risking a fire hazard or anything. Thanks for your advice!

My fiancé runs their PC, two monitors, a DAC, and a phone charger all on one power strip, and they've never had an issue. So don’t stress too much—it should work fine!
Yep, you can definitely plug your PC and monitor into a power strip without needing multiple outlets. Just be mindful of the total wattage you’re using with everything plugged in.
For peace of mind, a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) could be a great investment. It'll protect your devices and let you avoid risks from power surges.
The concern about chaining multiple power strips comes from overloading them with devices. If too many high-wattage appliances are plugged in, it can lead to overheating, which is risky. Just avoid piling too many strips on top of each other!
In the US, outlets can typically handle between 1800 and 2400 watts (120 volts at 15 or 20 amps). For Europe, it’s usually around 2990 to 3680 watts (240 volts at 13 or 16 amps). Just keep your total usage under 80% of that limit, and you should be safe!

Just make sure you aren’t exceeding the wattage limits of the strip!
