How Much RAM is Ideal for Gaming, Streaming, and Multitasking?

Personally, I have 64GB in my rig, but I rarely go beyond 32GB during use. For gaming and general multitasking, 32GB will serve you just fine.

You really can’t go wrong with 32GB right now. Prices have been fluctuating a lot, especially for DDR5. Expect to pay around $180 for a decent set. DDR4 is a bit easier to find on the cheaper side, especially if you look for used options around 3200 or 3600MHz.

If you're on a tight budget, don’t start with anything lower than 32GB. It’s pretty much the standard these days, and you’ll be set for most tasks.
