How Much Space Should I Set Aside for Dual Booting Linux Mint?

I'm a total beginner and I'm considering dual booting Linux Mint mainly for 3DS emulation. I've been struggling to get it to work on Windows, but my laptop can handle Switch emulation just fine. I think 3DS emulation requires better specs because the OpenGL drivers on Windows aren't ideal. All I really need space for is Discord, Citra, and one game I've dumped. My laptop is an ROG Strix G531GU, with a C Drive of 126 GB and a D Drive of 349 GB, which I believe are just partitions of one SSD. I would appreciate any advice on how much space I should allocate and if I have enough storage for my needs. Thanks!

I think a minimum of 50 GB is a smarter choice. You'll want some extra room as things like logs and package caches can fill up space faster than you might expect. Also, if you need up-to-date drivers for gaming, consider using Fedora KDE instead of Mint; it tends to have newer driver versions.

There's a lot of great resources out there if you're just starting. Check out some tutorial videos for guidance, and remember to back up your files regularly!

If you're not using Flatpaks, around 25 GB should be sufficient to start with. You can always adjust later if you find you need more space!
