How Should I Start Using Linux Without Messing Up?

I'm interested in diving into Linux but I'm a bit torn on how to go about it. Should I go all in and replace my main machine right away, or would it be smarter to first try it out on a mini PC I have? I really want to commit, but I also don't want to mess anything up. What would you recommend?

If you're unsure, I definitely recommend starting with some light exploration. Don't feel like you need to just jump in headfirst. Take a couple of weeks to browse around, read posts, and get a feel for the community and the system first. Absorb the information and see if you'd be comfortable with making the switch.
