I recently built a PC using an MSI MPG X870E Carbon with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D and two sets of Corsair 96GB (2x48GB) DDR5 6000MHz RAM for AMD. While the system is working well with a total of 192GB of RAM, I'm frustrated that the memory speed is limited to 3600MHz. I tried to manually increase it to 4800MHz, but it got stuck at code '15', which I believe relates to RAM training. I didn't wait long before resetting the CMOS back to 3600MHz. Has anyone managed to successfully increase the frequency with four sticks of RAM? Should I let it train for longer, or will it just stay stuck? Any tips on whether it's worth pursuing this would be appreciated!

To get that RAM running faster, make sure you’re using the right XMP or EXPO profile. Your RAM should be set to 1.4V. Start by enabling the profile but lower it back to 3600MHz. Then, gradually increase the speed by 200MHz at a time until it becomes unstable. That way you can find the sweet spot where it performs well without crashing!
Most likely, you can run it at 4800MHz, but be aware that memory training on AM5 can take a while—sometimes up to 20 minutes or more, especially with multiple RAM sticks. Just hang in there!

It's pretty common for AM5 CPUs when using four DIMMs. Don’t be too discouraged; have patience with the memory training process!

Awesome! I'll give it a try! Thanks!
