I'm starting our transition to Platform as a Service (PaaS) and we've got a huge network with over 10,000 printers! Logging into each printer's web interface to register them all seems impossible. Is there an efficient way to add these printers in bulk? Can Azure help me scan for and add them automatically?

Yes, we're using Universal Print. When you mentioned 'cloud native YMMV,' I assume printers from HP might have tools for this. I’ll check that out. We are in a hybrid setup, and I noticed there's a Connectors section in Universal Print—I just haven't had a chance to explore it yet.
Have you considered using Printix? It might simplify the process for you.
Are you registering these printers with Universal Print? If that’s the case, the ability to add them in bulk can vary by manufacturer. Unfortunately, Azure doesn't have a built-in programmatic way to do it. But if you're working with a hybrid model and have a connector set up, you can map printers by their IP addresses directly from there.
