How to Create a Bootable Linux USB on Windows for Mac Recovery

I'm trying to make a bootable Linux USB stick using my Windows PC because my Mac is stuck in recovery mode. I've been using Etcher, but it keeps failing at 99% validation with an error saying "The writer process ended unexpectedly." Are there better options for creating the USB? Any suggestions would be really appreciated!

Honestly, I've always had great success with Rufus for making Linux USBs on Windows. It’s straightforward and I’ve never faced any issues with it.

If you're looking for alternatives, have you considered using Ventoy? It’s a popular tool for creating bootable USB drives and might work better for you.

Etcher can be a real pain sometimes. I suggest avoiding it altogether and trying something else. You could use the built-in DD command if you're comfortable with that, or if DD sounds too daunting, give Caligula a shot. It's generally easier to use.
