How to Deactivate Lost Mode on My iPhone 15 Max If Face ID Isn’t Working?

I recently lost my iPhone 15 Max, but thankfully someone found it and returned it to me. However, the display is damaged, and the Face ID feature is currently not functioning. I had set it to lost mode right after I noticed it was missing and turned it off when I got it back. Now, when I try to deactivate lost mode, it prompts me for Face ID confirmation. Since I can't use Face ID due to the damage, I'm unsure how to fully turn off the lost mode. I heard that waiting for 1-2 hours at a steady location might help, but I'm not sure if that's true. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I've read that AI can sometimes give bad advice, so be cautious about that. To lift lost mode, you can do it through the Find My app or via iCloud.com, regardless of your location. But just sitting there for a few hours probably won’t work since it still needs the Face ID for verification after you've reactivated it. Have you tried resetting your device or contacting Apple support for help?

Yeah, I deactivated it from iCloud but it still asked for Face ID before fully turning off lost mode. It can be super frustrating!
