Hey everyone! I'm currently dual booting Windows 11 and Linux Mint on my computer, each on different drives. I'm looking to completely wipe the Windows drive (which is my SSD) and install Arch Linux there instead. I've tried to find relevant videos online, but most are about dual booting Linux and Windows. I did come across a video that mentioned a tool called OS-prober, which supposedly helps to detect other operating systems like Arch. I also found an Arch Wiki page about installing Arch from an existing Linux system, but I think that's more focused on installations on the same drive? Just to clarify, my SSD only has Windows on it right now.

Yes, definitely install OS-prober in Linux Mint before you get Arch set up. It’ll make things easier when you boot into Arch. Good luck with the installation!
OS-prober is indeed what you need! It will scan your drives for any bootable partitions, including Arch, and add them to the GRUB boot menu. Your plan is solid, but don’t forget to back up your important files just in case!
Before you dive into installing Arch, make sure to back up your data. Once you've done that, you can install OS-prober in your Linux Mint system first. After that, go ahead and install Arch on your second drive. You'll have GRUB manage the booting just fine!
