How to Enable Secure Boot on Windows 11 Without Issues?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to get Battlefield 6 beta up and running and I heard that I need to enable Secure Boot for it to work properly. I've checked my system, and both drives are GPT and not MBR, plus my BIOS is set to UEFI, not CSM. However, I'm a bit anxious since I've seen posts about PCs getting black screens and blue screens after enabling it.

So, my main concerns are: Do I need to remove any programs on my computer that don't have a publisher or digital signature? I'm worried Secure Boot might flag them and prevent my PC from booting. Also, in the BIOS, it states that the Secure Boot mode is set to "setup." Should I change that to something else? Any advice would be awesome!

You should be fine keeping those programs; Secure Boot primarily checks the OS to ensure it's legit. Just switch it from setup mode to normal mode to activate Secure Boot. But keep in mind, there are risks since some users have faced issues after enabling it, so make sure your backups are up to date.

Yeah, enabling Secure Boot does have its risks. However, it’s relatively safe if you change it from setup to normal mode. Just monitor your system after enabling it to see if any boot violations happen. Better safe than sorry!

Make sure you have backups of important data before you make any changes to BIOS—things can go sideways. If you can boot up Windows normally or in Safe Mode, check the C:WindowsMinidump folder for any dump files just in case you run into issues down the line.
