How to Expand USB-C Ports from My Monitor?

Hey everyone! I've got a small form factor PC that only has one USB-C port at the back. It's currently connected to my ASUS PA278CV monitor, which has a built-in USB hub. Unfortunately, the monitor itself doesn't have any extra USB-C ports. I'm looking for the best way to add more USB-C ports on the monitor side so I can connect things like USB speakers, dongles, and drives. I even tried using an unpowered USB hub, but that didn't work. Any suggestions?

You might want to try using a powered USB hub and connect it to one of the USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports on your monitor. Just keep in mind that it’ll be limited to a maximum speed of 5Gbps, which should be fine for speakers and dongles, but might slow down faster drives like SSDs.

Would it be possible to connect the powered hub to my PC using the 'PC-in' port and then run a cable from one of the hub's outputs to the monitor’s USB-C input?
