I'm trying to figure out how to export and import a list of connected server hosts in Hyper-V Manager. I want to transfer my list to a coworker's Hyper-V Manager on their computer. We're working with multiple sites, and I've located some files in my AppData directory (C:Users[USER]AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsHyper-VClient1.0) that seem to save these settings. Specifically, the virtmgmt.VMBrowser.config file appears to contain the server list. However, when I try to import these files into my coworker's directory, Hyper-V Manager fails to load the list of hosts. I even tested copying these files back to my own directory, but it still doesn't work. We have around a dozen hosts now and anticipate adding more, so it would be great to streamline the process instead of connecting to each one individually, especially with new employees or laptops coming in. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

I get that it’s confusing. Managing Hyper-V from your workstation while remote is pretty standard these days, especially with VPN setups. Just make sure both machines have the same version of Hyper-V Manager, as mismatches can sometimes cause issues.
Usually, the virtmgmt.VMBrowser.config should work without issues for exporting/importing. Let's ensure you're copying all necessary files correctly. Sometimes, Hyper-V may require a restart to refresh the host list. Try restarting the computer after copying the files before checking again if the hosts appear.
I had a similar problem before, and restarting did the trick for me. It’s definitely worth a shot before you dig deeper into configurations.

Yeah, version differences can really mess with compatibility. I had a friend who had to upgrade his system to sync up everything properly.
