Hey everyone, I need some guidance on exporting all Microsoft data as our company is closing. It's crucial that we retain this data for 7 years due to regulations. For SharePoint Online (SPO) and OneDrive (OD), I'll be using administrative access to download the data since we don't have much in these services—most of our records were on paper. However, I'm a bit stuck on the best way to handle email data. I was thinking about using the eDiscovery tool to search and export everything as a PST file, but I'm open to suggestions for a purpose-built solution or any third-party tools that might help with one-time exports. I'll keep digging through the learning docs and testing eDiscovery for now. Thanks for your help!

You might want to check out Emailvault.app. It charges based on the size of your archive rather than per user, which could save some costs—it's about 50 cents per GB. That could be very handy for your situation!
This tool looks promising! Just to clarify, does Emailvault.store the data for me, or can I download and keep it on my own systems?
