How to Fix DPI Scaling Issues Between My Laptop and External Monitor?

I'm currently using a dual monitor setup with my laptop's built-in display scaled to 125% and my external monitor set to 100%. I noticed that some applications, like OBS and my game emulator, are not adapting to the DPI settings properly. For instance, OBS appears squished on my laptop screen, as if it's stuck at 100% scaling. Despite restarting the applications, changing the primary display, and trying different compatibility settings, I haven't found a solution. Can anyone suggest how to make these apps recognize and respect the DPI scaling on my laptop screen?

It sounds like the applications you're using need proper reprogramming to support DPI scaling effectively. Bigger companies with huge budgets have the resources to do this well, but smaller developers often struggle. As a workaround, you might want to either deal with some visual issues or set both screens to the same scale. That could help with the appearance.

I've had similar issues, and I remember it worked fine before too! It might be related to a recent plugin or update—like you mentioned installing the se.live plugin for OBS. Maybe that changed something, so look into that!
