I recently bought a 4x8 GB DDR4 Trident Z RAM for about $100, but only three of them seem to be functioning. I'm worried this might cause instability in my system. Here's the rest of my build: a B550M Aorus Elite motherboard, an RX 6700 XT Red Devil graphics card, a Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 V3 power supply, and a Zeiron case with three fans in the front and one at the back. I had to reposition one fan above the RAM since my GPU didn't fit properly. I've tried reseating the RAM sticks in various configurations, but nothing seems to work. Is there any way to fix this?

Running your system with 24GB of RAM should be okay, but you might want to clear the CMOS first and then test the bad RAM stick in each slot again. It often resolves RAM issues, especially if the problem isn't with the RAM itself.

How do you exactly clear the CMOS?
