How to handle a domain impersonation issue?

I've been experiencing issues with a domain that looks like ours and has been trying to impersonate our board members while contacting suppliers within our network. I've sent multiple requests to the abuse email at Tucows and filled out their online forms, but I haven't received any response or action from them. I've also reached out to ICANN to escalate the matter. I'm considering reporting this to law enforcement due to potential fraud. Has anyone here faced a similar situation with Tucows? Were you able to get any action taken against fraudulent domains?

Definitely escalate this to your legal team. They can handle all the reporting and next steps. And don’t forget about reporting the domain as phishing to services like Fortinet.

If they're contacting your suppliers, it might be a job for the FBI. Make sure to report it to your local police to have documentation just in case it escalates. You might also want to consult with your insurance provider to see if they have resources that could assist you in this situation without needing to file a claim.

Consider submitting a UDRP request. It’s a straightforward process, and usually, the domain owner doesn’t even respond, allowing you to claim the domain by default.
