I'm trying to enhance the first login experience for our users in our fleet. My idea is to create a webpage that helps guide new users on where to go for service requests, tips and tricks, and how to change specific settings. I'm wondering if anyone else has implemented something like this? I'm a bit skeptical about the value, seeing that users will likely only view it once and may just close it immediately.

Instead of a webpage, consider sending a welcome email. Users can refer back to it later if they need help or have questions.
It's common to set a default homepage for browsers to the company's internal portal, whether it’s SharePoint or another site. Make sure it’s organized and user-friendly!
I really think email is the way to go. Just ensure you create a solid email template, and if you decide to build a SharePoint page or something similar, include that info with some additional resources.
You might want to display a local web page or markdown file on the first login, along with a shortcut on the desktop that users can remove whenever they want.
Why not do both? Show a pop-up on their first login and send them an email. This way, they have access to the info whenever they need it.

Honestly, not many people read emails these days.
