Hey everyone! I'm new to TinyCore Linux and have been getting the hang of it, but I'm struggling with setting up my Nvidia graphics driver. I'm currently using version 6.12.11. I tried to install the graphics kernel from the extension app browser, but my system freeze and shuts down, leaving me with a blank screen. I had to remove the graphics file to restore my TinyCore desktop.
I found a forum post where someone successfully got the Nvidia 470 driver to work, but I can't figure out their steps. I also read that I might need an older kernel for this driver, but I cannot find it in the TinyCore repository. Can anyone guide me on how to proceed? Thanks for your help!

If you decide to try the TinyCore-specific driver, look around their forums for guidance on the installation process. Since you're trying to use the Nvidia 470 driver, make sure everything is compatible with your current kernel setup. It might be trickier than installing it on other distros, but the community is usually pretty helpful.
For the Nvidia 470 driver, you'll want to start by downloading the last compatible version directly from Nvidia, which is **470.256.02**. This driver version requires a kernel that is **6.8** or earlier. If you're using a distribution based on Arch, there's a cumulative patch script available that might help, but you're using TinyCore, so that won't work for you.

I appreciate your input! I've seen references to a specific Nvidia driver compiled for TinyCore, like "nvidia-470.182.03-6.1.2-tinycore64.tcz". Maybe that’s what I should try?
