How to Keep SSD Write Cache Disabled After Restart?

I'm having an issue where every time I restart my computer, the SSD write cache automatically gets re-enabled. I've tried disabling it using the Western Digital app and even via Device Manager with admin rights, but it just resets itself once I turn my computer off and on again. For those who have managed to keep it off permanently, how did you do it?

I get where you're coming from! When I'm downloading games from Steam, my SSD utilization spikes to 100%, which really slows things down. Disabling write caching helps bring the speeds back up and stops that lag. But yeah, I keep running into the same issue with it resetting every time I restart.

Most of us actually aim to extend the lifespan of our SSDs given their price tags nowadays, so it's tough to find someone who's permanently disabled the write cache. Is there a specific reason you want it off? You should be able to change it in the properties under the policies menu in Device Manager.
