How to Manage Firefox with Intune: Insights Needed

I'm currently managing browsers in our environment using Intune and primarily rely on Chrome. However, I'm considering adding Firefox to the mix and I'm looking for advice. I've discovered Firefox Enterprise, which provides Group Policy Templates, but I'm a bit concerned about the release cycle. It seems like they update these templates every month, and with Intune, updating these ADMX files can be quite tricky. If I import one of these templates, how crucial is it to keep up with the new versions? Are there significant differences between versions, or do they mainly add new features? I'm aware that I could research this myself, but I'm hoping to gather some insights from your experiences. Also, if you're here to just criticize my attempts to improve our setup, please skip this thread.

Based on my experience, not too many significant changes, but there can be important updates—like a recent one that added controls for AI features. Updating ADMX can be a hassle if you're not managing it manually, so be prepared for that!

What are the advantages of using Firefox over Chrome or Edge? I'm genuinely curious about what benefits you're hoping to achieve with this change.

I'm not sure why you would want to add another browser if everyone is already on Chrome. It seems like it could create more maintenance and potential for issues. Just curious about your reasoning!

I'm actually looking to transition fully to Firefox mainly for privacy reasons. So managing it first is key for me.

From what I understand, the newer templates usually just add new controls. The older ones should still function, but it’s worth keeping an eye on important updates that might introduce critical features.
