Hey everyone! I'm starting a new role as a systems analyst in AWS, and my ultimate goal is to transition into a solutions architect position. I've seen others make similar transitions from cloud support, but this is the path I've landed on, and I'm really excited to dive in. What steps should I take or roles should I consider to move toward becoming a solutions architect? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats on your new role! Here are some tips to help you on your journey:
1. Get familiar with the basics like compute, storage, and networking. Understand different database types, learn how to set up a secure VPC, and know when to use IaaS vs PaaS vs serverless.
2. Always experiment! Work on increasingly complex projects to get practical experience.
3. Communication is key; improve your presentation skills.
4. Focus on how AWS can address business challenges, knowing when to get technical and when to strategize is crucial.
5. Explore Azure as well, since it's beneficial to have a broader understanding of cloud services.
6. Enjoy the learning process; the cloud will keep evolving, and you won't become an expert overnight!
