I'm planning to format my PC because I'm upgrading my CPU and motherboard, and I want to reinstall Windows afterward. I'm wondering, will the "delete all" format option in Windows automatically reinstall the operating system? What steps should I take to ensure everything goes smoothly?

What hardware are you upgrading from and to?

It's best not to use the built-in reset feature in Windows. Instead, opt for the Windows Installation process. This way, you can delete all the partitions and start fresh. It’s usually faster and cleaner, which is what you want when changing hardware.

I usually just remove the partition directly from the Windows installer. It works like a charm!
