Hey everyone! I've been a while since I last set up a dual boot system—back when Ubuntu was still using Unity. I've got a Galaxy Book 2, which I share with my wife, and I've just added a 240GB SSD for Linux installation. I really want a visually appealing dual boot setup, with an easy-to-navigate GRUB menu for my wife to select Windows. Is it possible to have the menu display in native resolution? Also, I'm unsure if I need to format my existing Windows installation or if I can just install Linux alongside it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

You should check out `rEFInd`, an alternative boot manager that looks great! It's quite user-friendly and visually appealing, so it might suit your needs perfectly.
You seem experienced enough for dual booting! I recommend trying some live USB versions first to explore different distros and desktop environments that you and your wife might like. This way, you can safely test out Linux without any changes to your current setup. Once you find one you like, it’ll be easier to move to dual boot. Plus, tools like Ventoy can help simplify the live USB process. Good luck!
For sure! I’ve used Ventoy at work, and it’s super handy. I’ve tried Mint before, but I’m excited to check out Debian and elementaryOS!
I second that—rEFInd is a solid boot manager! Great suggestion!
