I'm looking to start a blog with a friend and would love to use a content management system (CMS), but I'm really unsure of where to begin. I've worked with a CMS before (specifically blox for a school project), so I'm comfortable with posting content, but I'm lost when it comes to actually setting up the site. I tried downloading some programs to help create the blog, but I got really confused and felt overwhelmed. Plus, I'm not sure if my MacBook can handle the demands of creating this site.
I'm seeking recommendations for platforms to use, a good CMS, and advice on how to connect everything. Also, if it turns out to be too complicated, I might consider hiring someone to help us out. Any guidance would be super appreciated!

Are you aiming for a straightforward, functional blog, or are you more interested in learning how to create one from scratch? That might influence your choice of tools!
I can help you set it up! I recently built a blog for a client that they can easily update themselves. If you're interested, you can check out my work on my website: omarmayers.com!
If you want a great user interface and easy setup, just go with WordPress paired with the GeneratePress theme. You can have things up and running in about five minutes!
