How to Switch from Integrated Graphics to Nvidia GPU on Windows 11?

I've just been forced to update to Windows 11, and now my computer is stuck using the integrated Intel graphics instead of my Nvidia 3080. I can't find any settings in the BIOS to switch this back, and the Nvidia Control Panel isn't helping either. Does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? I'm really worried that Windows 11 is going to brick my GPU if I can't fix it soon!

Okay, so if you’ve already downloaded the latest drivers and see your GPU in Device Manager, but you're still having trouble, a common mistake is disabling the integrated graphics without proper settings adjustments. If you did that, it might explain why your display isn’t working. You might need to reset the BIOS to default or revert the graphics setting.

Take a breath, you're not alone! Have you updated to the latest Nvidia app and drivers? Also, check if your graphics card appears in Device Manager. If it's a desktop, make sure the cable's plugged into the graphics card. Sometimes just toggling settings there can help!

First off, make sure you're checking where your monitor cable is connected. Is it going into the graphics card or the motherboard? Most people overlook this, and if it’s plugged into the motherboard, you'll always be running the integrated graphics! Check that first!
