I'm trying to figure out whether my internet problems are caused by my ISP or my work computer. My speed test results show 70.7 Mbps download and 460 Kbps upload, 19.8 ms latency, 107 ms jitter, and 6.60% packet loss. However, if I retest right after, the results drop to 28.2 Mbps download and 240 Kbps upload with 17.3 ms latency, 326 ms jitter, and 5.40% packet loss. When I plug the Ethernet cable into my Xbox, I get 460 Mbps download and 33 Mbps upload with only 31 ms latency and 1 ms jitter. If I connect it to a laptop, it shows 98 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload with 23 ms latency and 2 ms jitter. My ISP claims everything is fine on their end. The Eero app indicates 1.18 Gbps download and 59 Mbps upload. My workplace is blaming my internet performance, even threatening my job, but it seems like my company's IT can't keep a stable connection for remote access either. I've had the same ISP for the entire year I've worked there, and I really need some guidance on this.

You should definitely test another computer with your home connection. Sometimes, company devices have monitoring or VPN software that might slow things down. After testing several devices that work fine, if the issue persists just on your work computer, try testing that at a different location to see if it’s specifically the computer causing the issues.

That's a solid plan! I've already tested my laptop and Xbox with the same Ethernet cord, and they both performed perfectly. I’m heading to my brother's to test the work computer there—should it matter if he has the same ISP?
