Hey everyone! I'm looking to delete my current Apple ID and create a new one, but I want to transfer all my iCloud data over to the new account first. This includes my passwords, contacts, photos, and possibly my mail too, if that's possible. Any tips on how to do this effectively? Thanks a lot!

Absolutely, you can transfer your data from one iCloud account to another! First things first, ensure your device has enough storage for everything, especially your photos and files from iCloud Drive. You might need to download everything to your local device first.

Go into your iCloud settings and turn off synchronization for each app, making sure to select 'store a copy locally' when prompted. Let your data download completely before logging out of your old account. Once you're logged into the new account, your data should start uploading automatically.

Just a heads up, any apps you bought under the old account won’t carry over, so you'll need to repurchase them or use Family Sharing between both accounts to access them.

Thanks for the detailed insight! Considering the size of my photos (around 49GB), would you recommend downloading them to an external hard drive first and then uploading them to iCloud from there?
