I've heard about the new Universal Print scanning feature that's included in roadmap ID 519572. Can anyone explain how this feature is supposed to work?

We rolled out Universal Print earlier this year, and it’s mostly been working well. I think the Universal Print Connector we have installed might get some new features to act as a bridge to our Microsoft 365 tenant. This means we could use the IP of the server hosting the Print Connector as the SMTP server in our printer settings. We already handle a relay server for this, but it would be a great addition if done right.
With Office 365, you can already use the EXO for SMTP relaying.
