I've been facing a frustrating issue while trying to run my favorite apps on Linux. Recently, I installed Arch Linux with KDE Plasma, and everything was going well until I tried to open a second window of an app. When I press Ctrl + Alt + T to launch another Konsole window, I get this error: 'Unit [email protected] was already loaded or has a fragment file.'
I thought I might have messed things up on Arch, so I switched to Kubuntu, but the same issue popped up! It's like this problem is following me around. I've done fresh installs without any personal configs, so I'm completely perplexed. To top it off, I might have mistakenly deleted my Windows partition in my attempt to fix this. I've posted about this on various forums for help, but no success yet. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the official forums for responses? If you can still boot into Windows, that might help you troubleshoot further. I'd recommend double-checking any info you receive from AI bots since they aren't always reliable. You might want to try other distros like Linux Mint or Pop_OS, as they're more user-friendly. Setting up a dual boot with Windows can also give you a safety net if you encounter more issues. And seriously, take your time with Arch Linux; it's best suited for users who are comfortable with advanced setups.
I dual boot with GRUB and everything on that side is fine. I followed the Arch manual carefully the second time around, so I'm not sure why this keeps happening. Could it be my hardware causing the problem?
