Hey everyone! I'm diving into Linux today and I'm really excited about it. I plan to set up a dual boot with Windows, but I've hit a small snag. I don't have a flash drive or any external drive to use for the installation. Is there a way to install Mint Linux directly from my internal storage? If so, how can I do that? Any help would be super appreciated. Thanks a ton!

There’s a method using Windows and diskpart to install Linux without a USB. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/g0qrydSnV4g?si=F2drQwMX_bInFhDj. It’s pretty straightforward!
If you have a DVD burner, you could burn the ISO to a DVD. But again, getting a USB drive would save you a lot of hassle.
Honestly, it’s going to be a lot easier just to buy a USB drive. They're really cheap and you can use them for all sorts of things later on. I’ve seen them at grocery stores and even gas stations!
For sure! Plus, you’ll always find a need for one anyway.
You could consider using something like Netbootxyz to boot directly from the internet and start the installation, but yeah, you might want to explore the USB route for simplicity.
You can also try this program to install Linux directly from Windows without a USB: [https://github.com/fmurph1/wli](https://github.com/fmurph1/wli). Just make sure to run it as an admin and disable secure boot first. It only supports dual booting, though, so keep that in mind!
Yeah, you can usually find them for just a few bucks. It's totally worth it!
