Hey folks! I'm in the process of building a new PC and I've got most of my parts lined up. Here's what I'm planning to use:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte X870E AORUS MASTER
- **GPU:** Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 MASTER 32G
- **RAM:** 4x32 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 CL30 EXPO
- **Cooler:** Noctua NH-D15 G2
- **Case:** Fractal Design North XL – Mesh Charcoal Black
- **PSU:** be quiet! Dark Power Pro 12 – 1200W
- **Storage:** 4x Solidigm P44 Pro 4TB (no heatsink)
**What I'm using it for:**
2D/3D animation and video editing with software like After Effects, Cinema 4D (Redshift/Ocotane), Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. I also play Rocket League on the side.
**My main concern:** I want to fill it with 128GB of RAM, but I've heard putting all four slots can cause stability issues. Since I'm prioritizing stability over speed, would DDR5 with or without EXPO be a better choice? Or would it be wiser to stick with 96GB (2x48)? Any additional advice or suggestions for this build are greatly appreciated!
I'm located in the Netherlands.

I'd stick with 2x48 GB. That’s what I have, and it runs smoothly. Just curious though, does it work well with EXPO? What’s your specific setup like?
Your build looks solid! Four sticks should be fine since the Ryzen 9 9000 series handles them well. Just remember that if you’re aiming for lower speeds, stability shouldn’t be a huge issue. You might even find that EXPO settings work out better than expected, but you'll want to do some stability testing once everything's set up.
If stability is your top priority, just keep the RAM on stock settings without EXPO. It minimizes the risk of any potential instability. You can always experiment with EXPO later if you're feeling adventurous!
