Hey everyone, my parents rented a cottage and invited my partner and me along. My partner will need to do some work from there, mainly using Microsoft Teams and ArcGIS, plus downloading large files. I'm wondering if a WiFi speed of 130 Mbps will be sufficient for their needs. Thanks for your insights!

Yeah, 130 Mbps is decent. Just make sure to check how that speed feels at your current setup when working from home; that can give you a good idea of what to expect. But honestly, it should work fine!
Just a heads up—while 130 Mbps is good, remember that network speed is different from signal strength. If your partner's computer can connect well, they shouldn’t have any problem. If they ever hit a snag, using a phone as a hotspot might boost the connection.
Exactly! Unless they're dealing with super high volumes of data, like terabytes of video, they should be totally fine working remotely with that speed.
130 Mbps should be more than enough for what you need! That's actually plenty of bandwidth, so streaming in 4K won't be an issue at all. Plus, your partner should be able to work efficiently without any hiccups.
For typical work tasks and streaming, 130 Mbps is definitely enough—especially if they're not sending out massive files constantly!
