I'm upgrading my PC after six years and have just replaced my old AMD 5700 with a new 9070XT alongside a Ryzen 5700X3D CPU and an 850W power supply. Currently, I'm using 16GB of RAM, but with RAM prices being so high, I'm wondering if that's sufficient for gaming and general use until I can afford more. Will I be fine with 16GB for now?

The amount of RAM doesn’t really affect your GPU directly since your RAM is for the CPU and the GPU has its own VRAM. Just keep an eye on your RAM usage when gaming or using applications. If you find yourself maxing out that 16GB, it might be time to upgrade.
As long as your system memory is enough for your tasks, you're good. Just remember that certain games can use more RAM, so if you notice your performance dropping, it could be due to insufficient RAM.
Having 16GB is generally okay for most games right now, but be cautious! Some newer titles are using close to or over 16GB, like Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy. If you're running multiple applications alongside gaming, you might want to think about upgrading to 32GB in the future.
