Hey everyone! I'm 28 years old and have a background in Economics and Analytics. I've always had an interest in coding and now I'm thinking about making a career switch to software development. I have a bit of experience with Python, but I'm wondering if it's feasible for me to dive fully into coding at this age? What should I focus on learning, and what roadmap should I follow? Additionally, is the job market still strong enough for someone like me to find opportunities? Can I actually make a living doing this? I'm a bit lost and could use some guidance.

I think the market is pretty flooded right now, especially with fresh CS grads struggling to find jobs. However, age shouldn't deter you. Many have successfully transitioned into tech from other fields by upskilling. Just keep in mind that the job landscape may be challenging for a bit.
Honestly, if you're already employed, using coding to upskill in your current role could be a great idea. Once you feel confident, you can decide if you want to make a full switch. That way, you’ll be more ready to tackle the job market.
That’s true, but if you’re currently working and can afford to learn coding, it’s called upskilling, and it can definitely set you apart!
