I'm considering whether to invest in 32GB of DDR5 RAM to pair with a budget graphics card, specifically the 3050 with 6GB of VRAM. My main focus is on CPU-heavy games, so I'm not looking for a better GPU, just trying to be cost-effective. Will doubling the RAM make a noticeable difference, especially if the GPU is likely going to bottleneck performance?

If the 3050 is your max budget, I'd suggest saving your cash and just going for 16GB of RAM instead. Put the extra funds toward a better GPU if that's an option.
In most gaming scenarios, increasing from 16GB to 32GB won't really change much unless you're already maxing out that 16GB. However, if you're having long load times or frequent stutters, then more RAM might actually help you out. I saw a big improvement when I upgraded from 16GB to 32GB, especially in loading maps.
Honestly, if you're set on that 3050, maybe look into getting something better. I'd recommend considering alternatives if you're primarily focused on gaming.
Unless there's a massive price difference, sticking with 16GB should be perfectly fine. A lot of folks were leaning towards 32GB, but prices have skyrocketed recently. Just make sure you have what you need for the games you play.
32GB is plenty for most gamers, but remember that RAM and VRAM are quite different. If your game needs, say, 10GB of memory, it won't perform any better with 128GB of RAM. As for the 3050, if you hit a RAM limit, it will just start using your hard drive, which can slow things down.
Got it! I'm just wondering if there are any games that would actually require more RAM to run smoothly with a 3050.

Yeah, I had a similar experience! More RAM helped me a lot with loading times for games and maps.
