Is 84°C Too High for DDR5 RAM?

I built a PC a little while ago, and while playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales, I've noticed that my RAM, specifically the Kingston Fury 16GB RGB, is consistently running at 84°C. My CPU and GPU temperatures are around 75°C. I'm wondering if this RAM temperature is a concern and how I might resolve it if it is.

It sounds like your RAM temperature is a bit on the high side. DDR5 can handle temperatures up to around 95°C before it starts throttling, but 84°C is getting close. Have you checked your case cooling? If your airflow isn't great, that could definitely be an issue.

It's concerning because high temperatures can lead to instability. I usually keep my RAM below 70°C, and my Kingston Fury sticks only reach about 56°C under load. Look into optimizing your case airflow!

Yeah, 84°C is definitely warmer than I would like to see. Ideally, you want to keep DDR5 under 70°C. It might be worth adding a case fan directed at your RAM or checking if your existing fans are functioning properly.

I’ve had my RAM hit those temps too, but it’s not ideal. Make sure you haven’t overclocked it, and double-check that your case has good airflow. If you’re not using RGB, maybe consider adjusting the setup to improve cooling.
