Is a 1000W Power Supply Enough for Future Upgrades?

I'm wondering if a 1000W power supply will give me enough room for upgrades over the next 7 years. I usually go for mid-range GPUs like my current 4070 Ti Super. In a couple of years, I'll probably upgrade to the next xx70 Ti or potentially an xx80 model. Right now, I'm using a 9800X3D and plan to stick with it for at least the next 5 years. Will my 1000W PSU be sufficient?

Definitely! A 1000W PSU should have you covered, especially since you're sticking with mid-range GPUs. Just keep in mind that graphics cards have varying power needs, so they won't always draw the maximum wattage continuously. If you're eyeing future upgrades, be sure to get a PSU that meets the latest standards, like ATX 3.1, to handle any peak loads gracefully.

That’s good to know! I saw some mention needing a 1200W for future high-end cards, but I guess for mid-range, 1000W is fine.
