Is a 5070 GPU and i9 13900k combo too much for 1080p gaming?

I recently had my 4090 and 4K TV stolen, so I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card. Right now, I have a 3070 8GB. Do you think a 5070 paired with an i9 13900k would be a good setup for gaming at 1080p?

Sorry to hear about your stuff getting stolen! But yeah, a combination of an i9 with a 5070 is more than enough for 1080p. You should be able to run pretty much anything at that resolution without any issues!

Honestly, the 5070 will handle 1080p easily. You could even push it to 1440p with good results!

While a 5070 is a bit overkill for 1080p, you'll definitely enjoy high frame rates. If you're looking to save some cash, an i5 or i7 could also do the job really well for that resolution!

Thanks! I was thinking of saving a bit by going with a mid-tier CPU.

Yeah, an i9 feels like overkill for 1080p. But hey, if you can afford it and want the best performance, go for it!
