Is a 650W PSU Enough for a 5060 Ti?

Hey everyone! I just upgraded my GPU from a 1650 to a 5060 Ti, and I'm feeling a bit anxious about my power supply. I have a Cooler Master MWE 650 white (3 years old), and the specs say it's 650W. My system's components include an i5-12600K, a Prime Z690M-Plus D4 motherboard, 16 GB of RAM, and one SSD. PC Part Picker estimates my entire setup will use around 440W. With 210W left for headroom, is that enough? I'd appreciate any insight, as I'm quite new to this!

You're totally fine with a 650W PSU! Their power requirements are usually exaggerated to cover a wide range of builds, but for your setup, 650W provides a solid buffer.

Exactly! Most likely, you'll never hit close to that limit under normal conditions.

Honestly, even a 500W PSU would work for a 5060 Ti, so you're well within safe limits. If you want some extra headroom, consider undervolting the GPU; it can really help with power draw.

Absolutely, your 650W PSU should be more than sufficient for the 5060 Ti. This GPU typically consumes around 200W or less, so you'll have plenty of headroom for your other components. No need to worry!

Yeah! It's good to have some extra wattage in case you want to overclock or upgrade in the future.
