Is a Ryzen 5 9600X and RTX 5070 good for 1080p gaming?

Hey folks! I'm putting together my first gaming PC and want something that can handle AAA titles on high or medium settings for at least the next 5 to 6 years. I also plan to play some shooters like Apex Legends with smooth performance. I might upgrade to a 1440p monitor down the line, but I'm not sure when. I haven't found much info on any potential bottleneck issues with this combo of Ryzen 5 9600X and RTX 5070, so I wanted to check in about that. I was considering the Ryzen 5 7600X instead since it's cheaper, but I'm worried about frame stuttering. Also, I'm keen on any tips to make my build a bit cheaper or improve it—in Poland, my current build totals about 9000 PLN (around $2440), and I want it as white-themed as possible! You might want to think about upgrading the RTX 5070 in about four years. It's going to be good for a while, but eventually, you'll want to make a switch instead of jumping straight to a 5080.

The Ryzen 5 7600X and 9600X actually perform pretty similarly! The 9600X usually has better power efficiency. I have a setup with a 5700X and RTX 5070, and I've experienced no stuttering at 1080p. No issues at all!

What resolution do you play at, by the way? Still running at 1080p?

Last I checked, 9000 PLN is around 2097 EUR. If that's just for PC parts and you're okay with buying from Germany, you could get a better GPU than the RTX 5070. I assume you prefer Nvidia, but there are also solid options in the Radeon lineup. Here's a modified build I put together that includes an Nvidia option assuming you want a 1440p monitor soon: [PCPartPicker List](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/pvtMph). Feel free to tweak it based on your needs!
