I currently have a system with a Ryzen 5 5600G CPU, integrated graphics, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 650W silver power supply. I've found a used RTX 3080 Ti for around $450, which seems to be a decent price considering shipping and taxes would add nearly $100 if I bought from the US. Originally, I was looking at a 9060 XT, but the 3080 Ti is priced lower. I know the 5070 cards probably won't see price drops anytime soon, and I have the funds but feel $700 after taxes is too steep. My main questions are: Is this 3080 Ti a good deal? Can my CPU handle 1440p gaming? Should I undervolt the GPU to fit it in my power supply? Also, I've heard about issues with power spikes leading to failures with this GPU, and since power cuts can happen in my country, I'm concerned about potential risks. Any insights on this would be great!

Your 5600G can technically handle high resolutions, but it's usually better suited with a more powerful PSU for a 3080 Ti. Most people recommend at least 850W for stability and to avoid issues. I’ve been running a 3090 with a 750W PSU for a while, but it's pushing it. If you plan to upgrade your CPU and PSU later, focus on getting the GPU now, but just be aware of the potential power issues.
I don't think 650W will be enough for a 3080 Ti. These RTX 30 series GPUs often have high transient power spikes, and your power supply might trip its over-current protection if it can't handle those demands. It's crucial to know exactly which PSU you're using; the brand matters a lot!
I have a Rocket 650W with 80% efficiency. Is that a good choice?

True, but I really want to get a GPU ASAP since I've been without one for so long. I guess I'll have to deal with potential PSU upgrades later.
