I'm considering building a new gaming computer primarily for some culture games, and I found an interesting deal on a system with an i3 12100F and a GT 710. I'm curious about whether this setup would hold up well in 2025. Would it be a solid build, or should I think about swapping out any components for better performance and value? Any insights would be greatly appreciated! Here's the build link: https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/65E6D68dF

The GT 710 has been outdated for a while now. Unless you're only planning to play really old games, I wouldn't recommend it. The integrated graphics on the i3 12100 will likely perform better for most tasks.
Honestly, the GT 710 is pretty much useless for gaming. It's only good for adding extra monitors for basic tasks like browsing. If you're aiming to play anything modern or even games from just a few years back, it'll be a major bottleneck.
Oh wow, I didn't realize it was that bad! So, what's a better graphics card option for gaming?
If you're looking for something that can handle modern titles, consider upgrading to a better GPU or even an APU instead. The i3-12100 (non-F version) could save you some cash that could go towards a decent graphics card. Right now, a GT 710 isn't worth it unless you really need the extra video outputs for your setup.
Got it! I’ll check out some better GPU options. Thanks!
Thanks for pointing that out! I always thought dedicated GPUs were the way to go.
