I'm considering switching from an AMD processor to an Intel one, specifically an i3. I'm curious if this CPU can handle GTA 4 well enough, and if it's worth making the switch. Additionally, what generation of i3 should I look for if I want to ensure compatibility with DDR5 memory?

To answer your question about switching to Intel, check the minimum specs for GTA 4. A newer i3 should handle it fine, but if you can, aim for an i5. Also, for DDR5, look into the 12000 series CPUs.

Before you switch, I'm curious why you want to go with Intel? Have you had issues with your current setup?

Honestly, if you have a 5600G, you might benefit more from upgrading your GPU instead.

Exactly! Plus, the real reason might just be a gut feeling?

An i3 should be able to run GTA 4, especially if you choose a newer model. It's really important to pair it with a decent GPU to get good performance. If you're looking at modern games too, you might want to consider skipping straight to an i5 for better long-term performance.

That makes sense! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600G, and I don't play too many CPU-heavy games, so I might switch back just for something fresh.

Yeah, if you already have a decent setup, investing in a better GPU might give you more bang for your buck.
