Is an Intel i7 10700 Still a Good Choice for Upgrades?

I'm considering some upgrades for my PC and I'm wondering if the Intel i7 10700 (non-K variant) is still a good choice. Here's a bit about my current setup: [my PC build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/M8s7pK). I'm looking to upgrade a few components: the SSD to a WD Black SN850X 2TB, the GPU to a Challenger Radeon RX9070 with 16GB, and I'll be adding an AIO cooler, specifically the Asus ROG STRIX LC III ARGB LCD. I'm also going to switch to a Lian Li O11 dynamic mid-tower case. However, I'm open to suggestions, so any insights on whether this setup is wise or if there are better alternatives would be greatly appreciated!

I'd steer clear of the Asus AIO cooler; it's a bit pricey for what you get. The WD SN850X is also overkill for most builds—consider a VP4300 Lite which is cheaper and does the job well. Also, make sure your case can accommodate whatever GPU you choose; the RX9070 won't fit in your current setup, but a dual-fan RX5070 should work fine. Just keep in mind that your i7 10700 might bottleneck higher-end GPUs!

I am thinking of changing my case to a Lian Li one, but missed mentioning it earlier!

I noticed your PCPartPicker link seems off; just a heads up! As for upgrades, switching to an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X would be a smart move over the i7 10700, plus you'd get a better performance without much extra cost. Consider dropping the RX9070 to a 9060 XT 16GB, using a cheaper B650 motherboard, and going for some 32GB of DDR5 6000MHz RAM. You can keep your old case and power supply to save some cash too! Let me know if you have questions about the specifics!

So you're saying the Ryzen is better performance-wise, right? What about budget? Is it still reasonable?
